Virtual Pedagogy. New proposal for a free textbook design

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide a basis for the use of hypertext in free textbooks, in response to the proposal to redesign the content and images of basic education books. For this purpose, it is considered important to make the historical review of the use of books in primary education, where the elements of a political and ideological order stand out more as opposed to the interests of a pedagogical and didactic order. We will consider the year 1921 as the beginning with the printing of the classical readings, a period where it is not mandatory to use a single textbook; We will review the obligatory and free nature of the textbook, concluding with the analysis of the books in the years 2010 to 2020, proposing the use of textbooks in digital format supporting the predictive vision of Marshall McLuhan with the description of the media as an extension of man.
